Delete Your GilluTV Account
GilluTV is an app for parents, with videos, stories and mythology for children. This page explains how a parent or guardian can ask us to delete their GilluTV account and the data linked to it. The app is published by Shri SuperShastra Enterprises LLP.
How to request deletion
- Fastest: use our secure web form at [api.gillutv.com/account/delete](https://api.gillutv.com/account/delete). Enter the phone number you sign in with, type the 6-digit code we send you by SMS, and confirm. That code proves the account is yours, so no further checks are needed. You can also use the account deletion option in the app’s Parent Zone, where it is available.
- Or by email: write to supershastra@gmail.com. In your email, use the subject “Delete my GilluTV account” and write the phone number or email address you use to sign in to GilluTV. Send it from the email address linked to your account if you can.
- We may reply to confirm that the request is really from you before anything is deleted. This protects your account from being deleted by someone else.
- We will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days of confirming your request and tell you when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your parent account, including your phone number, email address and sign-in details
- All kid profiles (names or nicknames, age bands, interests, language settings) and any avatar image
- Your viewing and listening history, bookmarks, progress and parental PIN
- Notification settings and the device and app identifiers linked to your account
What we may keep
We may keep a limited set of records for as long as the law or our legitimate needs require, for example payment and invoice records for tax and accounting, and security logs used to prevent fraud and abuse. Backups are cleared on their normal schedule. Information that has been anonymised so it can no longer identify you may be kept.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Please cancel it first in your Google Play subscription settings so you are not charged again.
Delete only some data
If you would rather keep your account, email us and tell us which data you want removed, for example a single kid profile.
